Schedule of Teacher Training

Wednesday January 30th, 2019- Thursday, April 18th, 2019

Every Week:

Wednesday nights 6-9pm

Thursday 6-9pm

 

7 Weekend Dates:

Feb 2, 3, 9, 10, 23, 24

March 9,10, 23, 24,

April 6, 7, 13, 14

Saturday 9am-6pm

Sunday 9am-4pm

Cost of Program  

$3597

If you are approved after submitting application, you will pay a $500 non refundable deposit to reserve your space.

You can pay in full and receive $200 off the program price or

3 Payments of $1033 after submitting your $500 deposit.

1st payment due 15 days after you are accepted to the program

2nd payment due 30 days after you are accepted

Final payment is due 45 days after you are accepted

If you sign up after January 15th, you will be expected to pay in full.

Attendance Policies

Trainees are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions as detailed above. Trainees may miss one session without requiring a make-up, and will still be eligible to receive a certification. Any additional sessions missed must be made up hour-for-hour. Trainee may also schedule a private make-up session to receive a condensed version of missed content at a rate of $100/hour. Should trainee miss more than 2 scheduled sessions, he/she may not be eligible to receive a certificate. Additional participation outside the times listed above (for group work and observation of yoga classes) will be scheduled at trainee’s convenience.

Syllabus

Techniques, Training and Practice (96 hours)

Includes :

Physical practice, lineage, sanskrit, dialogue, alignment, anatomical planes,koshas, kriyas, gunas, mantras, mudras, kleshas, sadhana, bandhas, meditation,

journaling

Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics (30 hours)

Includes:

What is yoga, The 4 Paths, 8 Limbs of Yoga, yoga profession, ethics, qualities of a teacher, holding space, Living your Yoga, Ethics for teachers, Book Study and required reading

Teaching Methodology  (30 hours)

Includes:

The science of the sequence, foundation, intro to anatomical planes, assisting and correcting, Purpose of the LIV Yoga Teacher Training, Promises of the LIV training, Representing LIV Yoga, Contributing to empowering others, impactful leadership, awesome self expression,

Anatomy and Physiology (20 hours)

Includes:

Chakras, Skeletal system, muscular system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, circulatory system, independent reading and study

Practicuum (5 hours)

Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and giving and hearing feedback
